Job Title: Production Operator
Job Description

Candidates will be working in a facility that mixes liquids and other materials for Tesla car batteries. You will be responsible for unloading barrels and boxes of materials, storing them in the warehouse section, and then separating and moving the materials that need to be mixed and activated to create the liquid material for the batteries. Candidates will work in the production, filling, and batch area to accurately measure, pour, and fill barrels and drums to be shipped to the Reno location. You will operate machines to move products through each station by using a button (machines will already be programmed). While you are not expected to perform repairs, you will be trained on how to make corrections if a machine breaks down. Candidates must also be open to assisting with the cleanup of hazardous chemicals if they spill.

Responsibilities

• Unload barrels and boxes of materials and store them in the warehouse section.
• Separate and move materials that need to be mixed and activated to create liquid material for batteries.
• Work in the production, filling, and batch area to measure, pour, and fill barrels and drums accurately.
• Operate machines to move products through each station using a button.
• Assist with the cleanup of hazardous chemicals if they spill.

Essential Skills

• Ability to travel up and down stairs, in and out of containment areas, and in narrow aisles.
• Capability to lift, carry, and maneuver at least 40 pounds.
• Understanding and use of FIFO, hazardous chemical operations, computer operating systems, and safe handling practices.
• Knowledge of GMP, GDP, sampling procedures and tools, decontamination and contamination prevention practices, and safe work practices.
• Ability to work in proximity to active electromagnets.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in production, mixing, and general labor.
• Familiarity with chemical operations and safety procedures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Sacramento, California.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00
