Manager of Quality at Norman Regional Health System summary:
The Manager of Quality oversees the daily operations of Quality and Performance Improvement (QPI) and Patient Safety within the health system. This role involves managing quality and patient safety computer systems, establishing departmental goals, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in a clinical or business field and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare quality management.
Job Summary
- Manages the daily operations of the QPI and Pt Safety in cooperation with the department Administrative Director
- Develops/Maintains a working knowledge of pertinent Quality and Performance Improvement and Patient Safety principles and serves as QPI resource for the health system. Departments listed above.
- Primary systems manager for quality and patient safety computer system, Midas Care Management, including DataVision, Statit, and all modules in Care Management such as Risk, Patient Relations, Infection, and Surgery modules
- Establishes goals and implements departmental projects consistent with health system goals, regulatory/accreditation standards, and national performance improvement initiatives
- Manages hospital based provider department operations as assigned. (Hospitalists, Hospitalist Advanced Practice Providers and Intensivist Physicians)
- Services as Vizient Clinical Database Coordinator
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor degree in Clinical or Business degree required
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Healthcare Quality (inpatient or outpatient) required.
Licensure/Certification
Must obtain CPHQ within 2 years of hire date. RN in this role must maintain current BLS
