We are looking for multiple roles for theNew Lock at the Soo Project located in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan.

Working with the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), this massive and instrumental project is valued at over $1billion and is scheduled to complete in 2029.

As a CAD/BIM Technician, your role will encompass the following

Summary:

• Design and prepare complete and accurate drawings and revisions for the New Lock at the Soo Project, integrating skilled architectural/engineering drafting methods and procedures with the operation and application of CAD equipment and software in the construction industry.

** This role is required to be onsite (i.e. no remote work) at the New Lock at the Soo project in Sault Sainte Marie, MI.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Interface with team members to obtain details for project requirements
• Prepare electronic layouts, charts, detailed scale drawings, and material and equipment bill-of-materials from sketches, specifications, and standard layouts provided by customers, consultants, and/or departmental contacts
• Review and manipulate electronic files received from consultants and departmental contacts
• Revise CAD drawings and plans to represent "as-built" conditions
• Use of US Army Corps of Engineers CAD|BIM Standards
• Coordinate closely with Project Teams (Civil, Mechanical and Electrical) to integrate project features into BIM models.

Education and Experience:

• AutoCAD Products (including Revit and Civil 3D), Bentley Products, MicroStation V8i or OpenRoads Designer and Navisworks
• Previous 3D modeling and/or construction detailing experience is preferred.
• Microsoft Office Suite

• Self-motivated
• Proficiency in the use of 3D modeling and drafting software
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Offer constructive feedback and direction to support goals
• Strong communication skills both oral and written
