About Us:
Sunrise Services is a social services agency that focuses on providing for the unmet needs of vulnerable individuals in our community. We provide caregiving services, mental health resources, vocational services, and much more! Our work is dedicated to serving those who are elderly, disabled, or have mental health challenges. The Benefits Specialist assists in overseeing employee benefit programs across the entire company.
Duties & Responsibilities:
$24 - $30/hour
Wages are determined by applicable industry experience, education, and certifications/licensure.
Schedule:
Full Time
Monday - Friday, day shift (8 am - 4:30 pm or 8:30 am - 5pm)

The Benefits Specialist assists in overseeing employee benefit programs across the entire company.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
- Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.
- Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
- Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility.
- Enrolls employees with carriers and process life status changes.
- Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
- Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA as related to benefits.
- Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manages the annual catch-up contribution enrollment.
- Assists with the open enrollment process.
- Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Education: Associates degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience: At least two years related experience required.
- Licensure/Certifications:
- SHRM-CP credential preferred.
- DSHS background clearance required.
- Current valid WA State Driver's License.
- Other Considerations:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite
- Possess strong knowledge of human resources laws, regulations, and practices
- Strong attention to detail
$24 - $30/hour

Full Time
Monday - Friday, day shift (8 am - 4:30 pm or 8:30 am - 5pm)

- Paid vacation - Earned at .04 per hour worked for hourly employees, and 6.67 per month for salary (equates to about 2 weeks per year for full-time employees)
