SUMMARY

The Dining Room Attendant position supports the front of house staff to ensure our guests enjoy an excellent guest service experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains assigned work area to ensure it is clean, neat, and organized by keeping restaurant tables spotless and presentable.
  • Removes and replaces dishware, flatware, glasses, and trash from tables and counters. Transports items to the dish area in a timely manner.
  • Wipes down tables, counters, and other areas in the restaurant. Sweeps, mops, and maintains the cleanliness of the front of house service area.
  • Monitors and replenishes supply of dishware, flatware, glasses, and other items in a timely manner and keeps the area neat and tidy.
  • Works with Servers, Hosts, and others to ensure a high level of guest service. Interacts with all guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Runs food from kitchen to guest's table.
  • Ensures all equipment is in working order and reports issues or concerns to be resolved.
  • Sets up and maintains cleanliness and organization of work area according to food safety standards and sanitation requirements.
  • Performs all duties in a positive, professional manner. Maintains a clean and professional appearance according to company standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Must be able to work the required work schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Works physically onsite to perform all assigned tasks.
  • Ensures all safety standards are met, and possible safety hazards are quickly resolved.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to create a positive guest experience with both internal and external guests.
  • Ability to speak or write English to a level sufficient to perform assigned tasks and communicate with other staff and guests.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and work through multiple tasks at once, have attention to detail and work with a sense of urgency when necessary.
  • Must be able to work individually or with a team as necessary to perform assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to work safely and efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to maintain the appropriate Gaming License.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain responsible service of alcohol and food handler certification through Prairie Flower training courses.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
  • Constantly required to stand and walk for entire shift.
  • Regularly lifts and carries up to 50 pounds.
  • Uses hands grasp, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Must have the dexterity to hold and maneuver food trays, plates, and glasses. Will constantly need dexterity for carrying and balancing a food tray.
  • Consistently required to reach with hands and arms, and balance.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud on the casino floor.
  • Must be able to operate in mentally stressful situations.
  • This casino has an enclosed gaming area where smoking is allowed. Team members may be exposed to a smoking environment in or around this designated smoking area.
