Description Amazon Renewed is the home of high-quality pre-owned and refurbished products in thirteen marketplaces (NA3, EU7, IN, AU, JP) with supply from qualifying 3P Sellers, Retail Vendors and Amazon. We earn Customer trust by setting a high and consistent bar for like-new product quality, qualifying and performance managing Suppliers, and attaching an extended warranty to all Renewed products. We are seeking a self-driven, analytical Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer with strong business acumen to help grow the global Renewed business through data driven invention and simplification. This is the perfect role for anyone who is excited about leveraging the latest in data analytics to raise the bar on a growth program’s capabilities. Our ideal candidate should be comfortable sitting at the intersection of data engineering, business intelligence, and business analysis, and will be asked to deliver across all three vectors. He/She should be passionate about working with disparate datasets and be someone who loves to bring data together to answer business questions. He/She will need to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams to solve problems, and deliver information about our leaders that we might never have considered. This position represents an exciting opportunity to be a part of a dynamic and high paced environment. Key job responsibilities • Manage Data Structure –Research and source new data opportunities. Partner with other BIEs across NA Stores (and beyond) to understand present sources and connect to new sources of data. Partner with Data engineering team to define the data elements and data structure that the team should leverage to enable new capabilities or improve existing ones. • Deliver Data Insights – Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions. Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve the operational and quality metrics. Manage reporting development processes to ensure we build the right tools at the right time. Design, implement, and support reporting platforms that provide business teams ad-hoc access to large datasets (e.g. data visualization tools for non-tech business users). • Influence Leadership & Peers – Display analysis and insights in front of influential audiences in a way that efficiently and effectively gets them to understand key aspects of what the business is trying to accomplish. Additionally, be connected and influential within the Amazon BIE community. • Manage Diverse Stakeholders – Engage with leadership and diversified customer groups to understand the needs and recommend business intelligence solutions. Interface with business customers, gathering requirements and delivering complete reporting solutions. Participate in strategic & tactical planning discussions. • Ad Hoc Analysis – Write SQL queries to pull data from disparate databases so it can be analyzed. Conduct data analysis to support needs of the Renewed team. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling Preferred Qualifications Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
