Compensation:$18 - $25 hourly
Responsibilities:- Welcome patient and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during their appointment
- Adhere to all dental office infection control policies and safety regulations by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use
- Take and document vital signs and medical history for patient records
- Get treatment rooms ready for for examination and procedures by equipping them with necessary sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials
- Help dentists and dental hygienists during procedures or examinations by providing suction, handing off dental instruments, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team
- Enjoy working with children and putting them at ease
- Maintaining patient charts including health history, treatment plans, and operative notes
- Taking radiographs
- Other duties may include answering phones, checking in patients, and scheduling appointments
- Must possess a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certificate or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) state licensure by the Dental Assisting National Board's (DANB)
- Previous dental assisting experience as a registered dental assistant or certified dental assistant (2 years) is necessary
- Strong interpersonal skills, customer service, organization, and excellent communication skills are essential
- Active BLS/CPR certification is required
- An Associate’s Degree or a certification from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required
