Title: Data Analyst
Location: Hybrid in Seattle, WA or NYC (onsite 3x per week)
Duration: 6-month contract (long-term extensions possible)
Compensation: $45/hr - $50/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Skillset / Experience:
The Data Analyst will influence the direction of the business by leveraging data to deliver insights that drive decisions and actions. This role involves translating broad business problems into specific analytics projects, building out scalable data solutions, conducting deep quantitative analyses, and communicating results effectively. You will be responsible for design, development and maintenance of ongoing and new metrics. You will help build data systems that leverage diverse data sources to provide a comprehensive view of advertiser engagement and performance. You will explore and deep dive into new areas to help the business understand key opportunities. You will also assist in presenting findings and recommendations to business leadership.
This role requires excellent business, communication, and technical skills, enabling collaboration with various functions, including product managers, data engineers, finance managers, software engineers, data scientists, as well as senior leadership. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and complex datasets, with strong ownership, and with an ability to work in a fast-paced and high-energy environment.
A successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in math/statistics, computer science or related field.
- 3-6 years of experience working with large-scale complex datasets
- Strong analytical mindset, ability to decompose business requirements into an analytical plan, and execute the plan to answer those business questions
- Strong SQL expertise - ability to write, troubleshoot, optimize complex queries
- Strong experience working with AWS services and tools
- Ability to contribute to best practices in reporting and analysis and identify opportunities for improvement
- Ability to work with business and technical stakeholders
- Experience in advertising or marketing domain strongly preferred
