Pratt Industries is hiring: Accounting Specialist in Oklahoma City

Our Accounting Specialist is responsible for all activities associated with computing, classifying and recording numerical data to keep financial records complete to meet customer demand in a manufacturing facility involved in turning recycled paper into sheets of corrugated board and getting them to our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Retrieve a high volume of invoices from AP Email.
• Review Invoices & Purchase Orders for three-way matchers or discrepancies.
• Codes non-PO invoices to the proper GL Account and Cost Center.
• Review Vendor Statements monthly.
• Scan Invoices to Shared Services to be processed in SAP.
• Create Purchase Orders, as needed.
• Assist in the preparations of month-end closings of the financials for the plant.
• Process daily billing & input of invoices to customer portals.

Basic Requirements

• Education equivalent to high school diploma required.
• 1+ year previous work experience in a business office/accounting function with exposure to general ledger and/or accounts payable functions.
• Solid working knowledge of accounting procedures.
• Strong working knowledge of computer systems such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite preferably with exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Requirements

• Associates degree or college accounting coursework.
• Previous experience in the manufacturing sector and/or corrugated packaging industry.
• Experience with computer software that handles accounts payable and general ledger.

Ideal Skills/Experiences

• Familiar with a GRIR (Goods Receipt, Invoice Receipt) Report
• SAP Experience
• AMTECH Experience
• Assist in streamlining and improving the Accounts Payable processes

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle detail-oriented tasks and review multiple documents and reports.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
• Strong appreciation for the retention and management of confidential information.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous details, deadlines, and requests.
• Strong listening, evaluating, and organizational skills.
• Able to work flexible hours or overtime as needed.
• Previous experience working in a team environment preferred, or a strong understanding of the importance of open communication and information sharing among co-workers.

Job Type: Full-time Hourly

Pay Range: $19.23 - $22.83 per hour
