Principal Responsibilities:
- Oversee and review the general ledger regularly to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles and procedures.
- Prepare and analyze financial and statistical reports as required.
- Coordinate and prepare for financial audits conducted by external auditors.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and coordinate the completion of various required reports.
- Prepare and/or review required tax returns.
- Recommend changes in financial policies and procedures as necessary.
- Monitor and enforce internal controls to ensure proper compliance.
- Assist with planning and implementing changes in the accounting system.
- Manage and develop the accounting team, providing guidance and mentorship.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- 5+ years of exempt-level experience in a manufacturing environment
- CPA certification preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge:
- Advanced understanding of accounting and auditing principles and practices
- Comprehensive knowledge of governmental financial administration, including budgeting, reporting, taxation, and revenue
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Abilities:
- Examine and verify financial documents and reports with high attention to detail
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of management
- Prepare a variety of complex financial statements, reports, and analyses
- Supervise, train, and evaluate clerical and technical employees
- Adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate leadership and decision-making capabilities

- Full-time position
- May require occasional overtime during peak periods (e.g., month-end, year-end closings)

MIN: $118k to $124k
