We have a great opportunity for a Legal Secretary (Litigation) to join our top ranked global law firm client based in Los Angeles, CA. (Hybrid)
What You'll Do:
- Format, input, edit, retrieve, copy, scan, and transmit legal documents
- Prepare pleadings and discovery documents for filing and service
- eFiling - State and Federal
- Create pleading/discovery binders, indexing and filing documents, organize and file case documents
- Editing Contracts
- Business Intakes
- Utilize docketing/calendaring department to track court and filing deadlines
- Attorney timesheets, expense summaries, and client bills
- Assists with overflow work and other projects as assigned
- Performs overflow typing, filing, or photocopying as time permits and as requested by other attorneys
- Mailings
- Maintain client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential
- Type 75+ wpm and have excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation
- Ability to learn new skills and systems quickly
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5-10+ years of litigation experience in a law firm or supporting Legal staff
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with all levels of Firm personnel
- High level of professionalism and excellent customer service skills
- Must take initiative and be a self-starter
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities within the Firm
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Solid time management and prioritization skills
