Leidos is hiring: Information Assurance / Cybersecurity Engineer in Hopkinsville

Join Leidos as a vital member of our team as an Information Assurance (IA) / Cybersecurity Engineer. In this role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding systems, applications, and data within tactical and non-tactical networks while supporting the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) G6.

Primary Responsibilities

• Implement and manage information security policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure robust protection of systems and data.
• Deliver expert cybersecurity services per guidelines from US Government (USG), Department of Defense (DoD), Army policies, and Army Forces Command (FORSCOM).
• Ensure compliance with information security standards and assist with internal audits, reporting, and technical reviews.
• Provide technical support during Cybersecurity inspections and Site Assistance Visits (SAV).
• Draft, review, and recommend guidance for Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Tactics, Techniques, & Procedures (TTP), Plan Of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of relevant experience; additional related experience may substitute for degree.
• Must hold DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification (Security+ or higher).
• A minimum of 1 year experience in IA/Cybersecurity.
• Must possess an active DoD Secret Security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in IT audits, security planning, and policy development.
• Familiarity with USG, DoD, and Army regulations.
• Knowledge of information technology concepts such as firewalls, VPN, and data loss prevention (DLP).
• Understanding of domain structures, user authentication, data encryption, access audits, and end-user security best practices.

Pay Range: $53,950.00 - $97,525.00
