AdvancedEV in Dallas TX, is looking for a Production Manager that will be responsible for overseeing the production and manufacturing process of golf carts from start to finish. You will be responsible for managing a team of production staff, coordinating resources, and ensuring the timely and efficient production of high-quality golf carts.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring optimal utilization of resources, and meeting production targets. Coordinate with the sales and marketing teams to forecast demand and plan production accordingly.
- Supervise and lead a team of production staff, including technicians, assemblers, and quality control personnel. Assign tasks, monitor performance, provide training and guidance, and ensure a safe and productive working environment.
- Establish and enforce quality control standards and procedures to ensure the production of golf carts that meet or exceed customer expectations. Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to implement improvements in manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, and equipment utilization.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished products. Coordinate with purchasing and logistics departments to ensure a steady supply of materials while minimizing inventory carrying costs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and safety guidelines. Implement and enforce workplace safety measures to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
- Liaise with suppliers to coordinate timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues related to quality, quantity, or specifications. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Generate production reports, analyze performance metrics, and provide regular updates to senior management. Identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in production management, preferably in the automotive or equipment manufacturing industry.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
