Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Lead to oversee day-to-day operations on the production floor of our manufacturing facility. This role is critical to ensuring efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and achieving production goals. The ideal candidate will lead a team, manage resources effectively, and foster a safe and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Production Oversight:

    • Supervise daily production activities to ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently.
    • Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows as needed to meet deadlines and goals.
  2. Team Leadership:

    • Manage and mentor production team members, ensuring optimal performance and development.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates.
  3. Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure that all products meet established quality standards and specifications.
    • Collaborate with the Quality Control team to address defects or issues promptly.
  4. Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices to enhance productivity.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and reduce waste.
  5. Safety Compliance:

    • Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any potential hazards.
  6. Resource Management:

    • Coordinate with supply chain and maintenance teams to ensure availability of raw materials and proper functioning of equipment.
    • Manage inventory levels and minimize downtime due to material or equipment shortages.
  7. Reporting and Documentation:

    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as output, efficiency, and downtime.
    • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, and quality standards.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using production software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods during shifts.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as required.
