PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The following physical requirements are necessary to meet this job description: Standing up to 8 hours Able to move maximum weight of 50 pounds vertically* Able to move maximum weight of 25 pounds horizontally* Able to relocate above described weights a maximum distance of 100 feet* The position requires standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending, crouching, and kneeling. May also grasp, push, pull, drag and lift equipment and other items. JOB CONDITIONS: Work hours vary according to availability of shifts. This position is non-exempt and receives overtime pay at one and one half times the regular rate of pay for all hours worked over 40 hours in a workweek beginning Saturday 12:00am through Friday midnight. Additional work factors to be considered depends wholly on the area(s) assigned and may include variable temperatures, noise, dust levels, lighting and ground surfaces. AGENCY RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be familiar with and comply with all DRTC Federal Contract policies and procedures. Dress according to DRTC and/or specific Federal Contracts dress code policy. RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Gather and empty trash. Service, clean, and supply restrooms. Clean and organize each cleaning closet or storage area before leaving it. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and following security regulations on secured exits. Observe and document electrical hazards immediately to management. Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks. Notify management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems, i.e., broken toilet seats, dispensers, plumbing issues, etc. Snow removal at appli able federal contract site, to include removing snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spreading snow-melting chemicals. Request supplies and equipment used for daily cleaning. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. Clean windows, glass, partitions, and mirrors, using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. Dilute concentrated chemicals in correct proportions according to manufacturers specifications for ready to use solutions. Shampoo carpets. Floor finish removal/application and polish floors. Emergency services, as needed, i.e., water extraction. Drive vehicles required to perform or travel to cleaning work, including vans, indu
