Concern Housing is seeking a Weekend Overnight Counselor who will be primarily responsible for the overall monitoring and safety of the residents at the site.
Position: Weekend Overnight Counselor
Location: Brooklyn, NY (MacDougal Street)
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday 12am-8am
Salary: $19.00/hr.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read log for updates, instructions, and assignments
- Filing, organizing charts, photocopying, etc., as assigned and/or as needed
- Provide brief counseling, as needed; redirect to core staff when appropriate
crisis intervention, as needed
- Weekly medication counts; check for accuracy and corresponding documentation
- Perform hourly walk-throughs of site during your shift
- Participate in monitoring of medication, as needed
- Attend site's monthly staff meetings
- Attend agency forums
- Remain current with all Agency required compliance documents and trainings
Requirements: Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent along with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
