Industrial Production Mechanic Job at Randstad USA in Saint Louis

The Industrial Production Mechanic sets up, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs liquid fill production line equipment (fillers, cappers, and labelers) and pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems (including variable frequency drive systems, AC and DC motors, and electrical circuits).

Essential Functions:

• Maintain good working relationships.
• Communicate effectively with production personnel.
• Be a creative problem solver.
• Ensure exceptional attendance.
• Work a flexible schedule as needed.

Duties:

• Perform preventative maintenance on production lines and batching equipment.
  • Labeling Systems: Quadrel, Label-Aire, Label-Vantage
  • Capping Systems: KapsALL, SUREKAP, Packaging Dynamics
  • Liquid Fillers: A.P.E.S., Volumetric Technologies, E-Pak
• Repair production equipment as needed.
• Execute packaging changeovers promptly.
• Control downtime by informing workers of preventive maintenance techniques.

Qualifications:

• strong mechanical intuition.
• Minimum 3 years in a liquid filling manufacturing environment preferred.
• Flexible hours.
• Basic writing, math, and reading skills.
• Knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems.
• Experience with plant support equipment is a plus.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.

This job requires bending, reaching, kneeling, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Compensation is based on experience.
