This position is CONTINGENT upon funding, an open position, customer approval, completion of a favorable background investigation, and successful TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance crossover.

TS/SCI with Polygraph required Day 1

Nightwing is seeking an Applications Developer to support applications development, Operations and Maintenance, and testing of a global communications network deployment applications. The ideal candidate will help promote state-of-the-art comms network design, development, and operations, collaborating with IT mission partners to share technology and lessons learned and ensure COMSEC requirements are included in the early design stages of IT solutions across the Intelligence Community. Additionally, this individual will work in concert with the customer technical interfaces to ensure future network deployments are in line with the plans for the overall customer architecture.

Required Skills:

Minimum 5 years of related experience with a Bachelors Degree or 10 years of relevant experience.

Demonstrated experience dealing with customers

Must have experience developing global communications applications

Must possess "people skills"

Must have experience developing scalable applications deployed on stationary and mobile devices

Must have experience developing applications to support the facilitation of data between on-prem and cloud based devices

Experience with application frameworks (Spring Boot, NodeJS-NestJS); Experience developing applications with the Node.js framework

Hands on experience with cloud technology (AWS / C2S)

Experience with web services (REST) and service oriented architecture (SOA) – Spring Boot, Tomcat

Experience with relational databases (ex - Oracle / Postgres)

Experience with interacting in a Linux environment (ex - Bash scripting, VI)

Ability to work well with others as well as independently (MUST leave ego at the door)

Ability to work well in a constantly evolving, fast paced work environment

Experience in an Agile environment

Qualifications We Value:

Typically requires Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Capable of solving complex problems, sharing knowledge and documenting work

Experience with SWCM tools

Experience with scripting programming languages (i.e., Perl, Kshell, batch, Python, Ruby, Jenkins, or Chef)

Experience with Continuous Improvement, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) concepts

Database / SWCM tool administration experience

Proven experience with configuration management concepts and implementation

Experience with software industry best practices such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI)

Work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
