Job Title: Superintendent of ConstructionJob Description The Site Superintendent will coordinate with and assist the Project Manager, vendors, subcontractors, and Management to determine the need for manpower, materials, and equipment. The Site Superintendent will act as the direct liaison with the Government Contracting Official and direct the daily activities of subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliance with contract documents, safety rules, and quality/security requirements. The role aims to maximize production and eliminate disruptions and downtime while ensuring the construction schedule and budget are kept in accordance with the plan. The project is at Washington Navy Yard, so access to the base is a must. Responsibilities Coordinate with the Project Manager, vendors, subcontractors, and Management to determine manpower, materials, and equipment needs. Act as the direct liaison with the Government Contracting Official. Direct daily activities of subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliance with contract documents, safety rules, and quality/security requirements. Maximize production and eliminate disruptions and downtime. Ensure the construction schedule and budget are maintained according to plan. Manage multi-million dollar projects with a background in large commercial construction projects. Essential Skills 5 years of superintendent experience, preferably with a federal background . Experience in design-build, project development, and construction software. Strong skills in subcontractor management, commercial construction, ground-up construction, quality control, and safety. First Aid and CPR certification. OSHA 30 certification. QCM certification. Proficiency in Outlook and Excel data entry. Excellent communication and organization skills. Strong planning skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Federal construction experience preferred. JOC work experience. Civil super experience. Ability to communicate effectively with Project Managers and owners. Work Environment The position requires being on-site every day, working outside for 50 hours per week.
