POSITION TITLE: RN-Nursing Supervisor

FLSA: EXEMPT

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the incumbent is responsible for the operation of the medical clinic. The incumbent will have interaction with all age groups.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Diploma from an accredited school of nursing
2. Florida RN license required.
3. Supervisory skills required.
4. Excellent communication and teaching skills.
5. Ability to work with various cultural groups.
6. Ability to prioritize work.
7. Demonstration of knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
8. CPR required.
9. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1. To provide and or assure nursing care services are provided: triaging, health education, emergency care process-assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
2. To facilitate quality assurance.
3. To promote staff development.
4. To supervise nursing department staff.
5. To utilize problem-solving techniques in coordinating patient care and site health delivery systems.
6. To utilize good interpersonal skills with staff and patients.
7. To perform nursing and management duties in collaboration with the Nursing Supervisor Associate Medical Director, Clinic Administrator and other staff as needed.
8. To participate in agency committees, e.g. QI/Infection Control as requested.
9. To maintain a high standard of professionalism based on agency service standards.
10. Other duties as assigned.
