Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented School Custodian to join our team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment for students, staff, and visitors. The School Custodian supports the efficient daily operations of the school by ensuring that all cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard.

The School Custodian must demonstrate a commitment to excellence and reliability, approaching their work with faithfulness and a strong attention to detail. Responsibilities:
- Clean building interiors, including floors, carpets, rugs, walls, windows, and mirrors
- Disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as desks, door handles, phones, and office equipment
- Empty and dispose of trash and recycling materials appropriately
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors in classrooms, hallways, and other areas
- Clean and restock restrooms, ensuring they remain sanitary and well-maintained
- Notify supervisors of any hazardous conditions or maintenance needs, such as spills, broken equipment, or unsafe areas
- Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces in shared spaces
- Perform occasional outdoor cleaning tasks, as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to information security policies to protect sensitive student, staff, and school-related information encountered during custodial duties
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, tools, and appropriate usage for various surfaces
- Familiarity with safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Physical ability to lift and move objects weighing at least 50 pounds
- Strong time-management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and staff
- Reliability and punctuality in completing assigned duties
