Job Description
Looking for an additional team member on 2nd shift to share duties with the current supervisor. The Weld Supervisor is responsible for leading, organizing, and directing daily activities for the Weld Department. There are currently 10 welders on 2nd shift, but the goal is to grow that shift to 15-20 welders, which will be split between the 2 supervisors. The primary roles of a Weld Supervisor include, but are not limited to:
- Be accurate with all first part checks.
- Train new employees on fitting, welding, and reading blueprints.
- Mentor all direct reports, identify areas for improvement, and provide training.
- Conduct reviews, log journal entries, and have one-on-one sessions with direct reports.
- Ensure daily balancing is done at the start of the shift for the previous day.
Skills Needed:- MIG welding
- Blueprint reading
- Knowledge of weld symbols
- Fitting
- Isometric drawings
- 2D and 3D renderings on SolidWorks
Large job shop with 90+ employees across 4 different buildings on the same campus. Shift: 2pm - 1am Monday - Thursday (with OT on Friday, as needed)
