Amazon, Culver City, CA, United States, 90232
DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and resourceful Analytics & Insights Associate Producer (AP) who is skilled in statistical analysis within basketball and the sports industry. The Analytics & Insights AP will work on the Prime Video production team focusing on the NBA. This person will help shape the identity of Prime Video's NBA and live sports offerings, especially as it relates to sports data.
We are looking for a candidate with great flexibility, an ability to deal with ambiguity, who will thrive in a startup environment. A successful candidate is comfortable diving deep across multiple areas, possessing exceptional stakeholder and project management skills, and committed to fostering a positive working environment all while being comfortable working autonomously, often times with minimal resources.
Key job responsibilities
A day in the life
This role lives at the intersection of creativity and data. This person will take complicated concepts and work to distill them into simple, digestible, and insightful TV elements. The Analytics & Insights AP will primarily support our NBA productions, seeking opportunities to bring next-level basketball understanding to our broadcasts and fans.
Your work will be a combination of long-term planning and short-term execution. One day, you may be working with a team of scientists to build predictive models. Another day, you may be working with producers, teaching them about complex topics. And the next day, you'll be helping on-air talent bring high-level concepts directly to fans. In-season, the days follow the ebb and flow of the production schedule, contributing to live shows with a tight focus on bettering the customer experience.
Outside of NBA coverage, you will contribute to the use of data and insights into other Prime Video properties (i.e. NFL and NASCAR).
About the team
Prime Video is changing the way millions of customers interact with video content. This includes creating original and exclusive content around live events from the top professional sports leagues around the world like the NFL, NBA, NASCAR, NHL, and the Premier League. As we support live sporting events, it is common to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
