We are seeking a Senior Project Support Specialist to provide Full-Time support to a NASA contract in Greenbelt, MD. Job Summary: Provide multi-faceted senior-level project management support to the Terrestrial Information Systems Laboratory. Responsibilities: Research requirements for office equipment and supplies. Assemble quotes and process acquisitions. Perform all duties related to preparing travel orders both domestic and international and preparing travel vouchers. Perform duties related to purchase approval of EUSO-NEST computers for civil servant and contract employees in the lab. Perform duties related to on-boarding of the contractor employees on inter-agency agreements, NASA funded contracts and Co-op agreements. Assist with facility activities, e.g. office moves, phone moves and facility improvements. Assemble and edit proposals submitted by members of the Laboratory to NASA opportunities. Perform a liaison role between researchers at GSFC and the science community, information technology staff and administrative personnel at various institutions to ensure tasks are accomplished within project deadlines. Coordinate entry of Scientific and Technical Information developed by Lab staff in NASA’s Scientific, Technical and Research Information discoVEry System (STRIVES). Requirements: Knowledge of the GSFC systems such as Travel, AMMS, EUSO, IdMAX, MOSI, , Equipment, and STRIVES is desired. Strong working knowledge of Office365, including Sharepoint, Teams, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Able to work with all levels. Must have the ability to balance multiple priorities and respond/produce quality work efficiently with short deadline actions in a fast-paced environment. The individual must also possess a strong sense of ethics, discretion, and professional sophistication. Ability to communicate project status and issues to customers and leadership as they arise. May be responsible for taking direction from leadership and distributing information to team members, stakeholders, and leadership quickly and efficiently. Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years of professional experience or 8 or more years of related experience in lieu of degree.
