Tarkett is seeking an Operations Data Analyst to join our successful and growing Operations Data Solutions team. This position will be responsible for creating, analyzing and improving the master data related to all aspects of manufacturing operations as well as developing data solutions for all levels and areas of Dalton Operations. Relevant systems and processes include, but are not limited to, ERP, PIM, DAM, MES, and MDM/Data Quality systems. This position will work closely with both Business Process Key Users and the Master Data Specialists to investigate, design, and implement improvements in data creation and maintenance processes, rule-based product configurations, and streamlined processes to support the data reliability for our customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data Analysis Tool Development and Maintenance:

    • Design, develop, and maintain interactive PowerBI dashboards and reports, providing actionable insights to various business units.

    • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and ensure dashboards meet business needs.

    • Optimize PowerBI reports for performance and scalability, ensuring data is accurate, accessible, and easily interpretable.

    • Automate and streamline data processes using PowerBI's data transformation capabilities (Power Query, DAX).

    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PowerBI data models, queries, and visualizations.

    • Integrate various data sources (e.g., SAP, SQL databases, Excel) into PowerBI for comprehensive, cross-functional reporting.

    • Ensure data integrity and consistency between SAP/etc and PowerBI systems.

    • Work with IT and database administrators to extract and load data into the PowerBI environment from various sources, including SAP.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, operations, sales, etc.) to ensure reports align with business goals.

    • Train end-users on PowerBI dashboards and reports, and provide ongoing support to ensure successful adoption and utilization.

    • Stay current with SAP and PowerBI updates, best practices, and emerging trends to enhance reporting capabilities.

  • Production Master Data Maintenance and Quality:

    • Extract, manipulate, and summarize data records in a meaningful way that clearly communicates data quality to key stakeholders

    • Develop methodologies for testing data quality and recommend tools to view, analyze, and report on these opportunities

    • Identify and implement process improvements and effective enhancements in support of an enhanced customer experience. Includes involvement of key stakeholders and user testing of the new processes to engage customers early in the process

    • Extract data as needed to support PG Loop, PAP projects, and other improvement initiatives

  • Production Master Data Creation:

    • Creation of BOM, Routing, and Production Versions to support customer orders, new style launches and TPR

    • Add new style information to Design and Operations thread-up tables

REQUIREMENTS (including educational requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields is preferred

  • 1-3 years of ERP Master Data creation and maintenance. Transacting in the SAP ERP system strongly preferred

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with PowerBI development and creating dashboards/reports.

  • Familiarity with data extraction and integration between SAP and third-party tools (e.g., PowerBI, SQL, Excel).

  • Experience in data integration and working with large datasets from multiple sources.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Team-oriented, with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.

  • Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy

  • Microsoft Excel and office suite required

  • Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and database design. Use of Sharepoint Lists and Forms (or similar workflow to data field systems) is a plus

  • Working knowledge in carpet manufacturing is a plus
