Job Description

Education requirement:

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field. Must provide proof via certificate or diploma associated with their degree level.


Required Skills:

• Must have five (5) years’ prior experience working with agencies within the State of Missouri

• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in QA Testing (Web Applications) and Data Analytics (supporting Data Migration) role

• Experience in creating test plans and test cases from written specifications or verbal communications

• Software and database testing (manual and automated) including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored jobs, and error replication. Familiarity with web testing tools and frameworks (e.g., JIRA, Xray, etc.)

• Strong understanding of website development, HTML, CSS, JSON, and JavaScript

• Experience working with SQL / NoSQL databases such as Postgres and DynamoDB

• Must be able to read, write, and execute SQL in MS Access

• Must have a working knowledge of MS Excel utilizing features such as data importing/exporting, pivot tables, conditional formatting, data validation, etc.

• Experience with SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid cloud solutions

• Experience in agile development (Kanban, Scrum)

• Experience with both UI and API based testing automation and experience with automation strategies for unit testing

• Must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate testing results and recommendations

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as a liaison with developers, product managers, and customer support

• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills for identifying and documenting defects accurately

• Must be proactive and have a problem-solving mindset to continuously improve website quality and user experience


This Client is undertaking a project to modernize its business processes and replace the current legacy applications. The Program will provide a complete solution to build a future workers' compensation system to integrate technology and business procedures so that DWC staff can achieve operational excellence and focus their time on the needs of the injured workers.


Deliverables:

Data Analysis Support Monthly Report:

The Data Analyst must provide a monthly report documenting testing and data analysis support with the existing DWC Modernization project provided during the month to include:

• Test associated web applications and provide support for data analysis.

• Establish, document, and execute test plans and test cases, and document test results and create defects.

• Design and manipulate test data, validate stored jobs, and error replication.

• Work with web testing tools and frameworks such as JIRA, Xray, etc.

• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases such as Postgres and DynamoDB and write SQL queries to extract data from tables and write scripts to extract data from JSON documents.

• Use MS Excel as needed and utilize features such as data importing/exporting, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and data validation.

• Define manual and automated testing strategies for UI and data testing.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate and document test results and recommendations.


Weekly Status Reports:

• Provide a weekly overall status report covering the previous week and upcoming week tasks and status. In additional the status report must call our items for management attention, action items, project decisions made, risks, out of scope work identified, and track change request items.

The Data Analyst must meet the following reporting requirements:

• Utilize the ITSD Project Status Report template (Attachment 1)

• Submit weekly reports to the Project Management Team (PMT) by the end of the day every Monday.

• Include a name of each task worked on during the previous week, a summary of the work, the name of the individual/team who requested the task, and the status of the task.
