JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objectives
The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at the Angier location. This role assists with administering employee health and welfare plans and acts as a liaison between employees and insurance providers. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

- Assist in the administration of health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Enters and maintains accurate information in the HRIS.
- Assists with recruitment and interview process. Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by Hiring Manager or HR Manager
- Complete Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documents and maintains I-9 files.
- Assists with processing terminations.
- Prepares new-employee files and files documents into appropriate employee
- Organize and schedule monthly safety meetings with staff.
- Performs minimal administrative office tasks.
- Assist and ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local employment laws.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient computer skills, especially with Excel.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. This position requires frequent visits to all areas within the facility, including the manufacturing area. The noise level in the manufacturing environment can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This position may occasionally require long hours and weekend work.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day.
Required Education and Experience
- Associates degree or higher in Business Administration, Law or related field.
- Proven ability to work effectively with all employees.
- Working knowledge of Federal and State labor laws.
