Accounting Coordinator

LOCATION: New York, NY

THE ORGANIZATION: Large International Law Firm

SUMMARY: Top International Law Firm is seeking an Accounting Coordinator to provide support to the Firm’s Accounting department including expense review and cost processing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist the Financial Services team with processing Chrome River expenses
  • Review and process expense reports
  • Create cost batches and process cost uploads
  • Act as the point of contact for any inquiries related to expense accounts
  • Obtain a thorough understanding of the relevant expense policies and procedures
  • Assist in documenting checklists and procedures
  • Ensure the accuracy of expense report coding and authorization
  • Conduct research and analysis to resolve any issues related to financial transactions
  • Collaborate with the Accounting team on Chrome River and Elite 3E support projects
  • Process accounts payable invoices
  • Accurately perform accounting duties
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Associate Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 1+ years of related experience preferably in accounting, auditing or tax
  • Competency to do mathematical computations; Proficient in MS Excel
  • Experience using Elite and Chrome River preferred
  • Excellent grammar, proofreading and organizational skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with initiative, creativity and flexibility to tight deadlines
  • Ability to maintain high level of consciousness and sensitivity to employee needs
  • A willingness to undertake further training as required to fulfill the changing needs of the firm
