Legal Secretary
Location: San Diego, CA (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year, along with Paid Time Off, Paid Sick Time and Holidays, Healthcare, Dental and Vision Coverage, 401k
Job Type: Direct Hire, Hybrid, Full-Time
LHH is working with a prestigious law firm in San Diego in seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Secretary to join their team. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing you to work three days in the office and two days from home. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transactional law, with at least three years of experience in corporate law, commercial and business transactions, and securities, as well as real estate.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal staff.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
- Manage and organize legal files and records.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and court appearances.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information.
- Assist in the preparation of legal presentations and reports.
- Handle client communications and maintain confidentiality.
- Assist with entity formation, including corporations and LLCs.
- Manage general corporate governance tasks.
- File documents with the Secretary of State, Internal Revenue Service, FinCEN, and SEC and State Securities agencies.
- Prepare engagement letters and conflict waivers.
- Run conflicts reports and submit new matter openings.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Secretary in corporate law, commercial and business transactions, and securities.
- Strong knowledge of transactional law and legal procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
