Cyber Security Program Manager (Project Management Focus)
Location: Burlington, NJ
Onsite – 4 days per month
Duration: 1 year
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Cyber Security Program Manager to join our dynamic team. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in both Program/Project Management and Cyber Security to lead and oversee the successful delivery of IT programs and projects with cross-functional impact and integration. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring they align with business objectives, risk management goals, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of cybersecurity programs and projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all cybersecurity-related projects, providing project leadership, strategic direction, and guidance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (IT, Engineering, Compliance, Risk Management, etc.) to ensure seamless integration of cybersecurity initiatives.
- Develop and execute detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies to meet key milestones and objectives.
- Drive stakeholder engagement and ensure clear communication between business leaders, technical teams, and external partners.
- Present regular project updates to senior executives and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment on business goals, risk assessments, and progress.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across programs to ensure smooth execution and resolution of challenges.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Ensure projects are compliant with relevant security frameworks, policies, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years in Program/Project Management, with at least 5 years of experience in Cyber Security.
- Proven experience managing complex IT programs and projects, especially those with a cybersecurity focus.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Strong ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate efforts across multiple departments or functions.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with senior executives and business stakeholders.
- Experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects with a focus on IT implementation, infrastructure, and security integration.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership capabilities, particularly in high-pressure environments.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CISSP, CISM, etc.) are preferred.
