PURPOSE

The Manager Recruitment Programs plays an essential role in fueling Builder FirstSource's growth by overseeing, developing and implementing early careers and military/veteran hiring strategy and initiatives. This includes college graduate and internship opportunities, high school opportunities, MIT/SIT opportunities, DOD Skillbridge and other military/veteran opportunities, and other hiring initiatives required to support BFS' talent pipeline. This position demands a balance of creativity and drive, along with interpersonal savvy and analytical skills. You must have a proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a high-paced, changing work environment as well as the ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks and manage work time efficiently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the recruitment programs and deliverables for campus hiring, military and veteran recruitment, special recruitment projects, and other programs/projects.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to establish employer brand and marketing strategy for recruitment programs and to help position BFS as an employer of choice.
  • Work with business leaders to respond to changing business needs and improve existing programs as well as develop new programs to attract new skill sets.
  • Provide expertise and guidance to hiring managers to help them select candidates based on appropriate data gathering, skills sets and culture fit.
  • Partner with leadership teams and HRBPs as needed to ensure clear, timely communication on expectations and deliverables of all recruitment program initiatives.
  • Coordination and partnership with internal stakeholders including but not limited to trainings, recruiting events, internal lunch and learns, etc.
  • Develop metrics to measure success of current programs and estimate the effectiveness of future/planned programs. Drive continuous improvement of all BFS recruitment programs.
  • Develop core partner relationships to include liaising and managing communications with campus and military career services offices, partnering with internal business professionals to build effective recruitment teams, and attending various campus events.
  • Manage and support recruiting forecast needs and calendar of events for ongoing build out and management of programs.
  • Act as primary representative for organization at campus recruitment events, career fairs, and other public events as needed.
  • Manage the budget allocated and partner with leadership on all related topics.
  • Lead and drive summer intern learning activities, social events, and networking.
  • Build strong relationships across BFS, including with business leaders, as well internal HR stakeholders.
  • Ensure BFS maintains a competitive offering for early careers and military/veteran talent by staying updated on trends and market practice.
  • Ensure compliance with all company standards and employment laws.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises assigned employees including staff selection and training; planning, assigning and directing work; conducting performance reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience leading or building early career or university relations programs or initiatives or 9 years of equivalent working experience.
  • 2+ years of management or leadership experience.
  • Previous experience working in a large corporate college recruiting program.

  • Highly developed analytical and technical skills required including proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Proven ability to create and utilize metrics to measure effectiveness and the impact of recruiting efforts and programs.

  • Skilled in the use of communicating through Social Media.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize in a busy team environment.
  • Must be a self-starter and a team player.
  • Ability to interact with team members at all levels.
  • Ability to think creatively and problem solve with a high degree of latitude.
  • Ability to build consensus while managing a project.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, use consultative skills and build strong, productive relationships.
