Job Description: As a Steel Fabricator at JAGS Fabrication, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding steel components according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications. You will work with various types of metals, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, using cutting-edge equipment and techniques to produce high-quality products. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our design teams to ensure accuracy and precision in every project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Cut, shape, and assemble steel components using a variety of tools and equipment, including saws, drills, shears, and welding machines.
- Weld components together using MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes, ensuring proper weld penetration and strength.
- Grind and/or polish weldments after the welding process.
- Perform quality inspections to verify dimensions, tolerances, and weld quality.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in steel fabrication or a related field.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication techniques, equipment, and materials.
- Experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes.
- Ability to operate fabrication tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Ability to pass Company Welder Qualification: FCAW & MIG Unlimited 3G & 4G at a Minimum.
