Job Summary The
Food Service Director
role in Norwood, MA is an outstanding opportunity to lead a busy operation in a world-class environment. Reporting to the General Manager, this position is perfect for an ambitious and proven leader seeking to successfully implement innovative solutions in food service. Key Responsibilities: Manage salaried managers and hourly associates in the Food Service Department Coordinate the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the account Interview, hire, and train associates; plan, assign, and direct work; evaluate performance; recognize and guide associates; handle concerns and find solutions Prepare and manage annual budgets Apply company systems to complete required daily/weekly/monthly reports such as inventory, cash reports, production records, payroll/timekeeping, etc. Coordinate and participate in the preparation and service of food and beverage items in adherence to company food standards for preparation, presentation, sanitation, and safety (meeting HACCP and OSHA guidelines) and portion control Other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications: B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field; or equivalent experience in the field. Five to seven years of direct food service operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control Prior experience in high-volume corporate dining setting preferred Strong knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience is desirable Strong supervisory, leadership, management, and mentoring skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, client, customer, and associate levels Excellent financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills Proficient computer skills to include various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, e-mail, and the Internet ServSafe Certified Apply to Flik today!
