QC Lab Technician - 3rd Shift

CTG is seeking to fill a QC Lab Technician – 3 rd
Shift opening for our client in Frankfort, IN.

$28 per hour Duration:
6 months
Overview: Ensure all quality processes for end product inspection are handled correctly and efficiently. Accurately testing intermediate and end products in preparation for shipment. Responsible for acceptance of raw materials, intermediates and end products supplied by external providers. Support Production with day-to-day Quality related issues, including root cause analysis case of off spec, in order to support efficient and effective production processes.
Duties: Analyze and interpret results of Quality tests using pre-defined specifications and take action in case of deviation, in cooperation with production, improve plant, R&T and application development. Report test results and action plan accordingly. Responsible for prioritizing product testing based on shipping schedule, completing necessary outbound paperwork, and communicating in case of deviations that will not allow a shipment to be made on schedule. Train operators on QC testing and reporting processes. Support operators with the executions of standard analyses and to instruct them on corrective actions in case of deviation. Attend Quality meetings, Production meetings and others to represent the plant for quality related items. Take all actions needed to reduce off spec. production material. This includes determining blend ratios for off spec material when possible and communicating blend opportunities to production. Test and approve incoming raw materials as required. Support approval of raw materials based on CoA specifications. Inspect and retest expired finished products and raw materials based on shelf-life. Coordinate the requalification and expiration date extension when possible. Maintain QC test result recording database. Support Plant Chemist in improvement of production process including assisting with statistical analysis of quality results. SAP proficiency as required to complete quality related functions. Complete weekly biocontamination testing and results recording for all products stored in bulk tanks. Support compliance with ISO 9001 standard.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelors degree of Science in a related field of Business, OR relevant professional experience. Potentially someone in school working towards a degree.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
