Sushi Sous Chef
at the esteemed Delta One Luxury Lounge in Queens, NY! This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of a dedicated team, where your hard-working attitude and creativity will flourish in a dynamic, high-energy environment. Key Responsibilities Expertise in sushi preparation techniques, maintaining strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. Work closely to determine daily menus and specialty dishes, ensuring a seamless kitchen operation. Share proven techniques and recipes, encouraging a collaborative and inclusive kitchen culture. Monitor stock levels, order ingredients, and manage waste to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Ensure all workstations and equipment are cleaned and sanitized to comply with health regulations. Develop ambitious new sushi creations that compete with the best in the industry. Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sushi Chef or Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant. Degree, certification, or equivalent experience in Culinary Arts preferred. Expertise in sushi preparation and presentation. Demonstrated experience in training and leading kitchen staff. Ability to successfully implement and maintain stringent food quality and consistency standards. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Apply to Restaurant Associates today!
