Job Title: Data Analyst
Contract Duration: 6 Months (Extension possible)
Pay range: $50 - 55/hr
Location: New York City, NY
Work Type: Hybrid, 2 days onsite, Monday - Friday 9 am to 5 pm

Story Behind the Need:
  • Business group: GBM Business Automation partners with technology and program managers to integrate timelines and deliverables into project plans, create business requirement documents, test scripts, user acceptance testing, and project artifacts, identify risks/issues/dependencies, and obtain signoffs
  • Project: The 2 contractors would be assisting with the day-to-day operations of this team across ongoing projects.

Typical Day in Role
  • Manage quality control/assurance testing process, issue reporting /resolution, and sign-off / approval of project milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop clear and concise dashboards and presentations that speak to the level of the consumer/audience.
  • The Data Analyst provides clear updates for automation projects that support efficient and effective delivery while maintaining adherence to internal project management standards.
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, finance, technology, or a related field.
  • Business knowledge of Risk-weighted assets (RWA), Credit Risk, and Market Risk is a strong plus.
  • Working in Power BI and Power BI Report Builder.
  • Understanding of how to administer the SharePoint access and set up subsites and lists.
  • Effectively manage competing workloads and expectations where priorities can often change

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
  • 2-4 years of Data Analyst Experience
  • Must have strong knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and using unstructured data.
  • Knowledge of workflows and Power Automate.
  • Ability to import to Power BI from multiple data sources - Excel, SharePoint, and Access.
  • Must have an understanding of "O Data" and how it connects to the MS Office Suite.

Nice-To-Have Skills:
  • Prior Financial Institution Experience
  • Experience preferred

  • Excellent writing, presentation, and oral communication skills
  • High degree of analytical and assessment skills
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to prioritize and work simultaneously on various tasks, independently and to completion.
  • High attention to detail

Required Degrees or certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

Note:
  • The ideal candidate would have experience working with large and sensitive data sets and have a high attention to detail
