Role Overview

The Denver site Material Handler/ Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, distribution, and storage of raw materials, consumable materials, and finished product. This role will also be required to operate the baler when required.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

Safety awareness, work injury free, and actively participate and support all site safety programs

Able to safely operate all material handling equipment at the site.

Unloading/receiving all OTR deliveries as assigned by supervisor.

Monitor the process of loading final product railcars inclusive of completing required documentation.

Assisting in inventory control, including but limited to cycle counting.

Ability and willingness to learn to operate the baler.

Ability and willingness to learn to operate and maintain all processing equipment.

Treating all coworkers & drivers in a helpful and professional manner.

Responsible for general housekeeping in warehouse, dock, production area.

Must be able to safely load and unload trucks.

Safely removes/disposes of waste from warehouse & production lines.

Reports poor quality material and unsafe conditions to supervisor.

Perform related duties as assigned to include assisting in maintenance repairs as needed.

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment. Report all defects and necessary repairs to supervisor.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

High school diploma or GED.

3+ years of shipping/receiving work experience.

Must be able to maintain forklift certification.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software.

Able to perform basic mathematical skills

Excellent written, listening, and verbal communication skills.

Ability to, on a non-routine basis, work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts.

Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Industry recognized certificates in inventory management, warehousing, or transportation.

5+ years of relevant work experience
