Position Overview:
The UNIQLO UMC Recruiter is responsible for the recruiting, sourcing and selection of candidates for UNIQLO's Management Candidate Program, Internship Program and Corporate office. As a subject matter expert in this area, they are accountable for maintaining and developing new recruiting strategies for UNIQLO USA across Corporate, UMC and Internship Programs.
Job Responsibilities:
Salary: $85,000 - $97,000

The UNIQLO UMC Recruiter is responsible for the recruiting, sourcing and selection of candidates for UNIQLO's Management Candidate Program, Internship Program and Corporate office. As a subject matter expert in this area, they are accountable for maintaining and developing new recruiting strategies for UNIQLO USA across Corporate, UMC and Internship Programs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create and manage pipeline for new graduates and mid-careers to join Uniqlo Manager Candidate (UMC) Program and other early talent internship and early talent programs as assigned.
- Develop and lead University relationships for long term value in conjunction with business expansion plans. Connect various UNIQLO departments with universities to engage in projects or sponsored events.
- Lead in the implementation of early talent initiatives and programs on-campus respective to targeted hiring profiles across all students, enhancing the organization's brand and reputation at select regional and national universities.
- Develop relationships with University Leaders and Professors to assist in overall insight and activities at each school. Initiate activities on campus to promote the organization at selected programs including but not limited to advertising, career fairs, information sessions, speaker series events, on-campus interviews, networking receptions/dinners, company sponsored events, etc.
- Create and manage the pipeline for the summer intern program. Lead the development and execution of the summer intern program for both in-store and corporate office; including but not limited to onboarding and orientation, intern performance evaluations, guest speaker scheduling, social event planning, end of internship presentation, and monitoring of staffing and budgeting. Act as overall program manager for the summer intern program.
- Develop an external network within the marketplace to understand competition, salaries, and make recommendations to the team based on this knowledge.
- Strategize across recruitment function to develop and implement new recruitment marketing assets and social media initiatives, including but not limited to social media campaigns, marketing videos, presentation decks, and photoshoot campaigns
- Actively find talent through in resume screening or candidate sourcing using LinkedIn Recruiter and Handshake platforms
- Conduct virtual or in-person screening interviews, schedule interviews with upper management, and conduct offer letter conversations
- Responsible for orientation of new manager trainees along with Learning and Development Team to provide smooth transition to company values and culture. Adjust and create training programs with Learning and Development Team to ensure manager trainees can become store managers within 9 months of hire.
- Other related duties to be assigned by direct supervisor
- Frequent in person collaboration
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications, HR or related field
- Strong communication, interpersonal, public speaking and presentation skills, including knowledge of brand initiatives and product knowledge
- 2 or more years of campus or corporate recruiting with a strong emphasis on customer/relationship experience and event planning/execution
- Ability to work independently and as an integral part of the HR team
- Proficient in office computer software/systems (Google Suite, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Willingness and flexibility to travel up to 60-70% as needed during peak recruiting seasons and work evenings (Sept-Nov, Jan-April, and summer seasons)
- High energy and collaborative, strong relationship builder and brand ambassador
- Excellent project management, decision-making, writing, and oral communication skills; focus on operational excellence
- Solid event planning, organizational, and facilitation abilities
- Former store retail experience as a supervisor or above. Strong knowledge of store's operations and organization
