Job Summary:

The Arizona Attorney General's Office Child and Family Protection Division/Protective Services Section is seeking a Unit Office Administrator. This position will be responsible for the office administrator functions, staff duties and administrative needs of the assigned unit.

Remote Options: This position may be eligible for Remote Work two days a week.

Job Duties:

This position will have a close working relationship with the Division Office Administrator, unit support staff, unit attorneys, operating staff such as procurement, accounting, payroll, facilities, and information services. This position manages the hiring and training for staff in the assigned unit. This position oversees the functions of support staff that are required to meet the needs of the AAGs, courts, and legal processes such as pleadings and calendar schedules.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge
• The principles of public administration, organization and management; personnel, supervision, training, procedures and processes of state agency functions.
• Organizational and functional structure of state agency; methods and techniques involved in conducting analytical studies of administrative and management practices, methods and procedures.
• Practical application of computers and peripheral equipment; inventory control and space management.

Skill
• Directing a comprehensive administrative services program for an organization; handling complex analytical and managerial work; supervisory ability; communicating effectively orally and in writing.
• Prepare comprehensive analysis and reports, correspondence and other written materials. Proficient in work processing and spreadsheet techniques.

Ability
• Perform duties independently or under minimal supervision; research, analyze, and make recommendations on administrative management and procedural practices; write logic, comprehensive, concise reports and correspondence.
• Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
• Use computer related peripheral equipment, prioritize work efficiently.
• Support staff: develop and train others in following procedures and instructions for administrative activities; effectively represent the Division to other agencies and the public.

Selective Preference(s):

The preferred candidate will have experience supervising staff and work functions in a legal setting.

• Travel may be required for this position. A valid Arizona Driver's License is required, along with consent to have your driving record run periodically.
