In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
  • Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
  • Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
  • Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
  • Remain in "valid" Visa status as applicable.
  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
  • Federal Work Study student may apply.
  • In good disciplinary standing.
  • Must be located in the U.S.

Production Assistants have regularly scheduled weekday hours to assist as needed with production-related tasks in the BCB Mainstage Theater. Assigned tasks will vary depending on what show is happening on the venue and the phase of production that the show is in. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the technical aspects of theater and get hands-on experience with lighting, props, audio, and carpentry work in the theater. This position reports to the Technical Director but may assist other members of the Performance Services Department as requested.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Routinely clean and organize the stage and storage areas
  • Assist staff with scenic, props, audio, and lighting projects
  • Work on assigned projects that can last multiple days (including inventory, organizing, production prep work, etc.)
  • Other duties dependent upon needs of the productions in the venue


Qualifications and Skills:
  • Some tech experience preferred, but not required
  • Regular weekly availability and good time management skills
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new things and work hands on
