Position Summary:
Are you looking for a challenge and an opportunity to grow into new recruiting markets? Are you looking to take your recruiting talents set and tap into your inner entrepreneurial skills? Are you excited about the opportunity to drive the recruitment process in newer markets? Then our Law School Recruiting Manager may be just the position you're looking for!
The Law School Recruiting Manager is responsible for executing the firm's law school recruiting strategy for our New York City, NY, Wilmington, DE, and San Francisco, CA markets. This includes but is not limited to managing the OCI and callback interview process, developing, planning, and attending recruiting events, managing student engagement and developing a law student talent pipeline, refining the student engagement strategy at various law schools, and supporting the firm's strategic initiatives. This role will also assist in the planning and implementation of the summer associate program in designated offices. The Law School Recruiting Manager drives the recruitment process by setting clear expectations and delivering on commitments with a sense of urgency to the business as well as internal and external candidates and incorporating the firm's DEI goals and initiatives into all aspects of the recruiting process.
Essential Functions:
1. Engage with law schools and law student candidates year-round to build employer brand awareness and a strong talent pool.
a. Establish and maintain relationships with Career Service team members and student groups at target law schools to develop brand presence and support the long-term growth strategy.
b. Develop and execute law student outreach programs for designated law schools.
c. Facilitate and/or lead presentations for law students.
d. Ensure Benesch brand is present on campus at law schools through regular outreach.
e. Plan and participate in Benesch Hosted law student receptions and law school hosted employer events, both on site and virtual
f. Seek creative ways to engage with law students regularly to build employer brand and awareness.
g. Build relationships with target candidates and facilitate attorney introductions and connections.
h. Travel as needed to participate in on campus recruiting events and activities.
2. Manage the full life cycle process for recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and extending offers to law students to join the firm's summer program.
a. Participate in Resume collection, review, and candidate selection.
b. Coordinate OCI schedule and attorney participants.
c. Schedule and participate in call-back interviews.
d. Attend and support facilitation of Hiring Committee meetings and decision-making process.
e. Communicate with law student candidates throughout the recruiting process to provide a high-touch, personalized experience.
f. Manage the offer process and post offer candidate engagement.
3. Participate in the development and execution of diversity pipeline programs at the law student level.
4. Assist with the implementation and day to day management of the summer associate program in designated office locations.
5. Assist with recruiting 3L and entry level hires as needed.
6. Assist in identifying ways to leverage social media and other technology to recruit top talent and brand Benesch as an employer of choice.
7. Work closely with Director of Law School Recruiting and Marketing Department to develop and maintain law school recruiting materials.
8. Maintain summer program webpage on Benesch's website, firm Vault profile, and other law school related profiles, ensuring new and relevant content is constantly added and updated.
9. Utilize the Firm's recruitment tools and processes to execute workflow, maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Firm policies and practices.
10. Take an active role in NALP to be an industry expert in law school recruiting; keep up with trends and bring new ideas and suggestions to the team.
11. Track and prepare data regarding recruiting successes and hiring statistics. Analyze data to recommend changes and enhancements to firm recruiting strategy.
12. Maintain expenses and monitor budget.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Assist with special projects as needed.
2. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
The Legal Recruiting Manager must have a bachelor's degree. Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred; 10+ years of recruiting experience required, preferably including experience at the campus level. Prior experience managing programs and initiatives required. Strong public speaking and presentation skills required. An ability to communicate effectively and efficiently, along with strong organizational skills and a client service attitude are required. Must be self-driven and demonstrate the ability to work independently and organize and prioritize work. Must possess a strong desire to learn and be part of a team, have an interest in technology, and be social media savvy. Ability to travel as needed and work overtime/evenings periodically required.
The salary range for this position is $144.5K to $195K.

Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that Benesch provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full-time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
