Job Description:

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will oversee and enhance our manufacturing operations, focusing on optimizing processes, project management, improving product quality, and implementing best practices. This role involves leading a team, collaborating with cross functional teams, and ensuring that manufacturing processes align with company goals and industry standards.

Essential Functions:
  • Leader that is comfortable working on the floor with production supervisors, ME's, maintenance and operators to keep production flowing and employees safe.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and implement lean manufacturing principles to drive ongoing enhancements in manufacturing operations.
  • Responsible for development and budget execution of capital projects related to processes and equipment upgrades.
  • Strong project management experience utilizing Microsoft project as a tool to meet timelines and manage resources.
  • Develop tooling for manufacturing: custom machine fixtures, assembly jigs, and standard tooling requirements.
  • Leads development of process planning and NC programming for all new and current programs.
  • Owns capital equipment plan, write-ups for approval and capital project execution.
  • Develops standards for production.
  • Develops manufacturing plans for new equipment.


Position Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology and minimum of 6 years prior related experience or Master's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Experience in machining/assembly of engine and/or transmission components.
  • Experience in government contracts.
  • Influence and decision-making skills.
  • Communication and collaborative skillset.
