We are partnered with a very established General Contractor in the Seattle Area who specializes in commercial projects. They have a reputation for delivering high-quality, on-time results, and they are seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager/Estimator with retail project experience to join our growing team. Project Manager/Estimator Key Responsibilities:


  • Project Management: Oversee and manage all phases of retail construction projects, from pre-construction to project closeout. Ensure all deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Estimating: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for retail construction projects, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
  • Budget Management: Develop, track, and manage project budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring project financials are in line with the initial estimates.
  • Scheduling: Develop detailed project schedules and timelines, coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to meet deadlines.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring that their needs are met, and that they are informed of progress and any changes to the scope of work.
  • Quality Control: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and local building codes throughout the project.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Manage and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring they adhere to project specifications and timelines.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively address any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process, working to find solutions that minimize delays and costs.

Project Manager/Estimator Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager/Estimator in the commercial construction industry, with specific experience in retail projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, cost estimating, project scheduling, and budget management.
  • Proficient in using construction management software and tools
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • In-depth understanding of safety standards, building codes, and construction laws.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
