ICON National is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Superintendent to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in monitoring and maintaining the construction schedule, ensuring the project stays on track while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and production. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Project Setup and Planning: Collaborate with operations, Project Managers, and Superintendents to set up and plan each assigned job, including the initial site setup and maintenance of on-site job trailers and office equipment.
- Safety Management: Implement and enforce all safety standards required for the job, meeting or exceeding OSHA requirements. Maintain all safety records, including Safety Checklists, Incident Reports, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and OSHA Inspections.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Assist in locating and assessing subcontractors, monitor their performance, and develop strategies to motivate them for above-average performance.
- On-Site Management: Familiarize yourself with job blueprints, scope of work, and subcontractor obligations. Assist in managing on-site operations and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communication and Reporting: Keep the Project Manager and Superintendent informed of all on-site operations, changes, and any issues that arise. Maintain accurate records of all job expenditures and ensure compliance with ICON National's standards.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work to ensure it meets project specifications and ICON National's high standards. Ensure that all tasks are completed on time, with good quality, and within the defined scope of work.
- Client Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, owners, and subcontractors. Represent ICON National at the highest level at all times.
- Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Assist in locating and evaluating subcontractors for assigned projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships between management, owners, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate all efforts and procedures with the Project Management Team, keeping them updated on progress and any issues.
- Record and monitor the completion of the scope of work, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to deadlines.
- Maintain, report, and record all job expenditures utilizing ICON NATIONAL standard cost codes. Ascertain approval for all expenditures through the ICON NATIONAL's corporate office.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Project Manager and Superintendent.
- OSHA 10 Safety Training certification.
- Experience with occupied renovation projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Project, Outlook), Viewpoint (or equivalent), Visio, and AIA software.
- Ability to pass pre-employment background screening, including employment verification, education, criminal history, and driving record.

- Flexible work hours may be required based on project needs, including weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Positions typically performed in an office environment but may require travel to client offices, potential projects, and construction job sites.

- Employees stay in a company house during the project week and go home every other weekend.
