Associate Sweater Designer

Established Fashion company located in DT LA has an immediate need to hire an Associate Sweater to join their team to create seasonal sweaters. In this role you will assist in the creation of Tech Packs, CADS, sketching, and other technical aspects of the design process. Additionally, you will communicate with overseas factories to assist in sample creation and deliverables are being met.
Job Duties include:
- Assisting in sample execution with overseas factories
- Sending out samples as needed
- Compiling pre-costing information for pre-production tech packs
- Submitting style changes to the Senior Designer and factories
- Creating tech packs for overseas development
- Proficient in sketching
- Reviewing final samples for buyer meetings and ensuring quality standards are met

2. Fittings:
- Participating in fit sessions with the Tech Team and Patternmakers
- Providing feedback on fit revisions
- Approving production fittings

3. Other Important Tasks:
- Working with CAD/Textile artists to request CADs, prints, sketches, etc.
-Assisting in revisions of CADs as necessary
-Sending comments to factory
-Managing sample requests
-Maintaining awareness of design calendar and meeting deadlines
-Giving production approvals for fabric, colors, and quality standards

Qualifications:

-A degree or equivalent experience preferred -4+ years of experience working with sweaters within apparel industry
-Familiarity with garment construction
-Knowledge of Tech Pack creation & working with overseas factories
-Proficiency using Photoshop,CAD,Illustrator,Microsof Outlook,and Excel
-Ability manage multiple tasks simultaneously while working under tight deadlines
-Strong time management & organizational skills detail-oriented problem-solving ability.

Salary range$65K (note if you have more experience, please send resume and target salary, maybe open for right experience)
