Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Reports To: Service Manager and Office Manager

Job Summary: The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing the companys warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient handling of supplies, parts, inventory, and equipment. This role involves maintaining company vehicles, organizing the warehouse, and preparing daily job supplies for the technicians. The Warehouse Manager plays a key role in keeping the warehouse well-organized and fully stocked, supporting both field and office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels for all plumbing supplies, tools, and parts. Perform regular stock checks and reorder items as needed to ensure the availability of essential materials.
  • Parts Ordering: Manage the procurement of all parts and supplies, working closely with vendors to secure the best pricing and timely deliveries.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of company vans, ensuring all vehicles are in good working condition. Schedule routine service and repairs as necessary.
  • Job Staging: Prepare and stage materials, parts, and equipment each morning for the technicians based on their scheduled jobs, ensuring they have everything needed for the day.
  • Parts Delivery: In collaboration with the warehouse helper, deliver parts to job sites as needed, optimizing delivery routes for the most efficient completion of jobs.
  • Shop Organization: Maintain an orderly and safe warehouse environment, ensuring all items are stored in their designated areas and the shop is kept clean and efficient for daily operations.
  • Groundskeeping: Perform or coordinate routine maintenance of the warehouse property, including groundskeeping, ensuring the exterior is clean and presentable.
  • Communication: Work closely with the Service Manager and Office Manager to coordinate warehouse operations with daily job needs, including special projects or rush orders.
  • Logistics Support: Assist with scheduling and managing deliveries or shipments of materials and supplies to job sites as needed.
  • Records & Reporting: Keep detailed records of inventory levels, parts ordered, and equipment status. Provide regular reports to the Service Manager and Office Manager regarding warehouse activities.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in warehouse management, logistics, or inventory control, preferably in a plumbing or service-based industry.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, hand trucks) and basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the service and office teams.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
  • Familiarity with plumbing supplies, parts, and equipment is a plus.
