Job Description
Astera Labs is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Scientist. As a Principal Data Scientist, you will partner closely with hardware and software teams to align on objectives, refine complex problem statements, and co-develop innovative data collection strategies. You will leverage advanced statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to identify issues early and accelerate time-to-quality improvements. In this role, you will architect and deploy robust, cloud-native solutions for managing data pipelines, ensuring scalability and seamless integration across platforms. Additionally, you will establish comprehensive business intelligence and analytics frameworks, providing detailed engineering insights and executive-level roll-ups to drive data-driven decision-making and impactful reporting.
Basic Qualifications
Master's or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Science domains. 8+ years of experience applying AI/ML concepts to build solutions for semiconductor, hardware or software industry. Demonstrated ability to learn continuously and keep up with the latest research and tools in the AI/MLOps domains. Required Experience
Familiarity with the latest cloud solutions for data storage, ETL, and analytics. Experience working with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate business and engineering goals into data science problems and develop solutions. Ability to execute from feasibility to prototype and provide solutions for production deployment. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java. Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn. Experience with data visualization tools. Preferred Experience
Familiarity with hardware and software lifecycle is a huge plus. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka. Understanding of DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD.
The base salary range is $160,000.00 USD - $240,000.00 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
