Your role will be to lead & manage the import team to ensure customer satisfaction, cost-effective operations, high quality service, while complying with company s policies and US and international regulations. Responsibilities & Duties: Supervise a team of 3 to 6 individuals in the import operations department. Collaborate with other internal departments such as accounting, sales, and operations to ensure timely and efficient service requirements. Manage the services et performance of providers, controlling and negotiating rates. Identifying and vetting new vendors Manage relationships with key customers, to ensure full satisfaction. Ensuring compliance with all regulations and laws governing the import and domestic transportation of goods, particularly food and alcohol products. Manage the pricing process to ensure timely quote processing, accuracy and profitability. Liaising with overseas offices and partners around the word, communicating clear expectations. Review International shipping documentation (Bill of Lading, certificate of origins, commercial invoices, etc.) Check and process vendor invoices Supervise LCL shipments, ensure timely clearance and delivery of import cargo to C.F.S., prepare and process required documentation for timely release of goods to customers. Process insurance claims through with in-house Claim department Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of experience in Freight Forwarding import operations Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisor role. Bachelor Degree, preferred in Logistics, Supply chain solutions or transportations. Knowledge of AMS, ISF, CTPAT, USDA NOP, and all other import and domestic transportation legislation, rules and regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in interacting both with clients and colleagues. Applicants must possess legal authorization to work in the United States. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Proficiency in French is a plus. Additional Information: Full time position, 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday Hybrid work-from-home/Office with minimum 3 days in the office Locations: Washington, DC and New Jersey offices.
