WHAT DOES A SOFTWARE ENGINEER DO?

Augment a well-established team as a Software Engineer. This is a collaborative team environment that entails frequent interaction with customers. WOULD YOU BE A GREAT SOFTWARE ENGINEER?

The Software Engineer will not be required to do any software development, but background must include knowledge of embedded coding languages and MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, Ethernet, and Serial communication protocols. The Software Engineer will provide system software engineering expertise to government personnel in the support essential program requirements and objectives. The selected candidate requires the ability to communicate with leadership, fleet personnel, and peers.

The Software Engineer will provide technical guidance, identify risks and issues, and provide recommendations to team members in support of the development of software/hardware products and provide software recommendations to leadership in support of Interim Flight Clearances. The selected candidate will interface with the government personnel to provide technical guidance and recommendations to develop an increasing in-house sustainment of software and processes while making recommendations to assist with Mission Communication System (MCS) software acquisition.

Additionally, the Software Engineer will prepare/Review/Manage technical documentation, proposals, investigations, analyses, needed to support ECPs, Product Test Verifications, and other appropriate documentation.

Requirements

Active Top Secret required at time of application BS or BA degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering or related discipline.

Degree

REQUIRED, neither additional years of experience or Associates Degree can substitute for BS degree. Journeyman

- Required Experience:

At least five (5) years of software engineering experience , performing software requirements analysis, software design, software coding, software integration and software testing. Senior

-Required Experience:

At least ten (10) years of software engineering experience,

performing software requirements analysis, software design, software coding, software integration and software testing.
