Position Overview

Bell Properties is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Property Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish, possess a minimum of 2 years of property management experience, and be proficient in property management software, particularly Rent Manager. As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our properties and delivering excellent service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Resident Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner. Foster positive relationships with residents to enhance satisfaction and retention.
  2. Rent Collection: Collect rent payments from residents and accurately record transactions. Process payments promptly and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  3. Property Management Software: Utilize Rent Manager software to enter rent payments, update resident information, generate reports, and perform other administrative tasks as needed. Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the system.
  4. Leasing Support: Assist with leasing activities, including showing available units to prospective tenants, processing rental applications, and executing lease agreements. Provide information about property amenities, policies, and lease terms.
  5. Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate maintenance requests from residents and communicate with the maintenance team to ensure timely resolution of issues. Conduct periodic inspections of units and common areas to assess condition and identify any maintenance needs.
  6. Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative duties such as maintaining accurate records, preparing lease documents, responding to emails, and filing paperwork. Assist the Property Manager with day-to-day operations as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in property management.
  • Proficiency in property management software, preferably Yardi, Rent Manager.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service orientation with a focus on resident satisfaction.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Knowledge of fair housing regulations and property management best practices.
